Hello. I'm Saran!

Saran Bell Day is very grounded in life, community and family.

She's married to Dwight Day, the mother of six children and a fur baby puppy named Louie. Saran and her husband are the parents to 4 girls, 2 boys.

 

As a Hampton Roads native and resident, Saran holds a master’s in education with a concentration in Psychological Studies and an ED. S in Curriculum and Instruction from Cambridge College in which she is proud to achieve after overcoming many obstacles. Saran has worked as a Special Education Teacher for Portsmouth Public Schools since 2008 but retired in 2014 to pursue her dreams as a Mental Health Counselor.

 

Saran is the current presiding President of Youth Against Drugs and Diseases and associated and active in several other good will organizations and projects. 

After pursuing her dreams by founding and being the registered representative of the Matriarch Community Health Services, she has achieved some tremendous milestones and help countless families and individuals via her foundation. These efforts has dawned her the nickname of “The Community Oprah” and makes it her life’s mission to save youth from preventable diseases, helping homeless moms and aiding families.

Saran is also an author of the children's book, The Weirdo Life of Ducklin Monroe, which was inspired by a combination of her life's experiences and her expertise in her field.
